There's nothing to compare it with! So it stays alive in the back burner of your mind. Sometimes consuming instant replay over and over! Only those who have felt this level of passion and love will understand. Even as you go on with your life, your paths never cross anymore. But the memories still scorch your Soul, whether it's meant to or not. Being young and thinking it will last. It did in a sense, in the memories and the recesses of our mind.
