Ephesians 1:5 reads “He predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ according to the purpose of his will“
The narrator read it a little bit differently “he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ according to the purpose of his will”
Is this a mistake or a different revision of the ESV?

Ephesians 2:15 says "by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances..." The narrator leaves out the word "expressed." Was this intentional, maybe a different revision? I have seen that someone commented on how "as sons" was left out in Ephesians 1:5.

Why can't the word of God be read by a normal American and be accessible to all of us with today's language or way of speaking? The word of God is amazing, and I fully support people like me and you reading it and uploading our reading to YouTube instead of listening to some Englishman or dramatic actor portraying the word instead of living the word.
