i have synesthesia. primarily sound-picture and sound-touch. sleeping at last has some of the most beautiful music i have ever SEEN, not only heard. This music has blue in the background, but focuses mostly on the place you are going, the yellows, whites, and a small hint of pink. you are traveling at a fast pace across the atlantic to a new land full of beauty. the waves crash upon the deck of your boat, the wind rushes through your hair, your face cold but refreshed. its is a song of hope.

Throughout the song I was like : ''Pleaaase, siing, I want to hear your voice'' but then, I was like : ''wow, they don't need to sing, they are here with us, with me through the melody''. I fucking love this band and thank you very much for making music like this, music who takes you to another world.
Thank you.

One of the things that make Indie music so great; is that they are arcane. It's like a secret society of few who know of it and enjoy music in it's purest form. Little fame for doing something you have passion for is way more fulfilling than gaining fame by moulding your creativity according to the audience preference.
If I could sum up every song by Sleeping at Last in one word, it would be: Pure.

If you take a moment
And listen to the sea
You may just make out
The soft babble of the waves
The crash on the sand
The simmer as the water thins
But if you listen closely,
Just close enough
You'll hear this song
and you'll know,
Everything is tranquil
And All Is Well
~I just wrote this off the top of my head after hearing this song. This song is so beautiful and is overall just stunning. Thank you so much for blessing us with this piece. :)

*"Through wires and waves, our voices carry.
Such careful words that we can barely speak out loud.
We found an ocean when we needed land.
We drowned in words when we needed a hand.
So we plead for night, and the sun keeps on spilling light.
There's a fine line, a fine line in between
Our progress and our instability.
We can't help ourselves but hunt for more.
A design flaw? or the olive branch that proves the shore-
The catalyst we've waited for.
We live and die under the thumb of fear,
As though the finish line will merely disappear
If we take one less step, even to catch our breath.
We once felt safe, like no cure was needed.
Our vocabularies had no room for “defeated,”
But we grew up quick and became connoisseurs of it.
There's a fine line, a fine line in between
Our progress and our instability.
We can't help ourselves but hunt for more.
A design flaw? or the olive branch that proves the shore-
The catalyst we've waited for."*
