The series up until Doc Manhattan reveal was great, then it just nosedive into stupidity.

I always saw either William Hurt or John Malkovich as Dr Manhattan.
Malkovich especially for the scenes were the News reporter for Nova Express confronts him about the Cancer deaths in the TV studio. And later, after Adrian / Ozymandias kills his hybrid Lynx and him in the Intrinsic Field Disintegrator.
When he puts himself back together, and threatens to turn everything to glass in Karnak.
Malkovich's Angry, can be very Scary and Intense.

I still don't get how they could kill Dr Manhattan.
Once Alan Moore, played around with Captain Atom, adding Doctor Solar, and the other Atomic characters, together with Quantum Physics, to create Dr Manhattan, the result is he has basically created God.
How do you kill God ?
