As a lifelong atheist who grew up in the US, I had sooo many conversations like this with other children in school and life in my childhood. The most common question when I said I don't believe in any gods was "what keeps you from stealing and killing people?". It's alarming to think so many of my peers thought the only thing stopping them from killing each other was their religion..

I, a brown person, was adopted by white people and I grew up around kids like this. Now as an adult I converted to Islam and my Christian family cannot comprehendā¦ when I tell you this video has me switching back and forth between rage and amusement so fast itās giving me whiplash. Could not survive this cringe without you two šš½

I feel so fricken bad for Saraswati, as an Indian. But at the same time I have crazy respect for her, for getting through this.
I mean Iāve lived in India my whole life so I canāt imagine moving to a new country and be treated this way. And I am sure, like Gabi said, itās not just a one time thing.

My best friend growing up was indian. I never even THOUGHT about her anything like these girls. I was so interested in learning about her culture and way of life. I was Christian growing up and i would ask her about Hinduism and we would tell eachother about our theologies. Idk if its because im half latina but i was always more interested in learning about others. And my mother put a huge emphasis on respecting other people especially in their homes and when eating their food. I never saw her as weird or other.
