I think mesmerized is the right word. Yngwie is a legend here in Sweden. One of our very best.

With Yngwie Malmsteen, the link between metal and classocal music is ever so clear. It's a fact that many people that many classical musicians really like metal music. It has the same roots. The aria of the classical numbers are not performed by a guitarrist.

And he wrote this song when he was 17 years old. I would recommend another neoclassical guitarist to you guys:Katsu Ohta is an almost unknown Japanese guitarist, super fast and super clean. Check this out:a demostration to Young Guitar Magazine, song called Time Fuse: https://youtu.be/PlwB5oFY2Zo?si=cQyRnu3l3QzzCQ2m

A fantastic guitarist from the 80s. My personal favourite of the XXth Century. If you want to listen to a couple of Australian guitarists, from two very different music styles: Plini, "Electric Sunrise" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNFXnFAKqAE) and Stephanie Jones, "Bach's Prélude BWV1006" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyySAFA2En8).

You should check out Swedens latest composer, (what i know of at least), who've made a big name for himself internationally. Ludwig Göransson. He's been doing all the music for the show 'The Mandalorian' including the famous theme song to the show. But too me, even though i did not enjoy the show all that much, the best score he has composed is the theme for 'Boba Fett', since it is heavily influenced by the songs and music from the 80s Astrid Lindgren movie 'Ronja Rövardotter'. That is my childhood right there and i wouldn't be surprised if every Swede knows the songs from this movie and most Swedes would sing a long to it if the opportunity arose. He have absolutely captured the essence of real Swedish music.

You would probably also get a big kick out of checking out Buckethead. He's a fantastic guitarist also, but has a vastly different style.
