DALAM is the backing band to Malta’s construction noise. HEADLINES, the band’s debut EP, is an introduction to DALAM’s sardonic brand of noise rock and hardcore. The four tracks feature stories that would make the news in a parallel world where Malta is just slightly more bizarre. Engineered, mixed, and mastered by Steve Lombardo at Hell Next Door Studios, HEADLINES is out later this year via Kewn Records. Garden Gnome is the debut single from DALAM and the opening track on HEADLINES. In many ways, it sets the tone for what the band is all about. Sometimes brash, sometimes frantic, and always sardonic.

Garden Gnome is a fairytale set in the country of Malta, where the fictional government does an oopsie daisy and replaces all the island's trees with roads and apartments. They try and cover it up with a €700 million Green Spaces project which aims to transform Malta's roundabouts and car tunnels.

Determined to populate Malta with beautiful flora and fauna, they hire an ecological expert—a garden gnome—to lead the project. Little do they know there's something in it for the gnomes...
