At my humble opinion, Jesse is one of the sharpest composers nowadays... I like the way that devastating sad melancholy is always surrounded by simple harmonies and those joyful chords. I was listening to this song today and it was making me so emotional. I got a huge deja vu moment. The song just came to life. I had a visual for this song. It's summer at 6PM, the sunset has a bright orange and pinkish color. I'm sitting on a tailgate of a truck. I was thinking about all my friends that I miss seeing, all the all the big moments that have come and left. I just wanted to cry because I was scared of growing and seeing what was about to come next.
