As someone primarily interested in the medieval period, the destruction of said layer makes me very upset. Especially since it's for woo. They should be ashamed.

Every time I want to go down the rabbit hole of "Speculative Archaeology" I watch one of your videos and am reminded of actual Scientific Method. Thank you.

I'm horrified that real archeological sites were destroyed in pursuit of something that already had nothing but negative evidence for its existence. It hurts how often this occurs. I keep thinking maybe we finally stopped doing that.. but it keeps happening.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm guessing if somebody found real evidence that they were man-made, that would be in the headlines somewhere.

I've seen a few mountains that are pyramidal shaped, even in my area. We just call them mountains. No, they're not man made.

Seems more so like a guy that's wants to be known/famous for something, but rushed into it. Now has to continually change his story because nothing adds up

to be fair to the tennis player, one should have their own place in nature where one can go to connect with something other than our culture. but it should be free and unalterd by human corruption.

I agree Kayleigh that this is a hoax. Not only the geology confirms this but also the location and topography supports that these are natural formations. Most pyramid or mound sites that I am aware of are not built in hilly or mountainous areas but on more level terrain.

The Eildon Hill (or hills) SE of Edinburgh in Scotland have had similar fanciful stories told of it (them). The larger one is pretty close to a true pyramidal shape. One legend has it that King Arthur is buried there (along with dozens of other such claims about his final resting place on the island of Great Britain). There is a similarity between this human tendency and the tendency to see anthropomorphic and animal shapes in the clouds and stars at night. Our brains are wired to work this way because of our pattern matching ability, which enables us to react quickly to potential threats.

I imagine that most of your viewers would agree with me in decrying the politicization and factionalization of science. If this person wants to fund scientific investigation, that's great. When that money is going to defrauding, lying and manipulating, that's a problem.

It is sad to see people confusing national "pride" with scientific evidence.

Great job, Klee. I remember reading about this in 2005/2006, then listening to my grandfather and mum (archeologists and anthropologists) tear apart the claims. Even looking at the photos, it's clear it's a sediment layer over clay. The hills are beautiful, so I'm sure there's some serenity people feel to the region. But "Site of the oldest pyramids" is a better headline to sell.
