šŸ”µ Lucid Dream Effortlessly In 30 Days & Experience Your Fantasies: Watch My FREE Training Video Now šŸ‘‰howtolucid.com/signup/

āœØ How to escape from false awakening dreams. You know those dreams where you imagine waking up and going downstairs to make breakfast or whatever, and then you're suddenly flung back into bed to wake up AGAIN, as it was only a dream?

Sometimes you can have long 'chains' of these false awakenings, and it can be confusing. You're not sure whether you're awake or asleep as they seem so 'normal' and real. In this video I explain how to escape from these types of dreams, and how you can use them to create lucid dreams instead.

I also talk about how you can escape scary dreams easily.

What is Lucid Dreaming? Lucid dreaming (sometimes called astral projection although they're not quite the same) is the ability to become SELF AWARE in your dreams, meaning you can control them and experience whatever you want. You can live out your fantasies and be, do, see or feel ANYTHING.

There are also many benefits to lucid dreaming, such as improved sleep, more energy, more confidence, and more restorative sleep. Not to mention the fact you can become more CONSCIOUS, and experience the impossible!

I'm Stef, the guy behind HowToLucid, and I'm dedicated to helping you learn how to lucid dream. I've been lucid dreaming for over 8 years now and I have a passion for dreams, personal development and travel. Follow my journey, and please leave a comment now, if you've read all of this, letting me know your best lucid dream experience!

Just had 7 false awakenings yesterday. I'm really thankful for getting out of the loop each time.

My mind is a bit nastier. If I start getting wise, it simply changes the rules regarding what's "off' about reality. So I have to hunt for whatever is "off" if I wish to verify on the next round. And until I find the clue, the new rules will still apply. Sort of a damned-if-you-don't-and-damned-if-you-do dilemma. False awakenings for me usually revolve around some unseen disaster in the background, the destruction of parts of whatever building I'm in, and the inability to leave my immediate assigned dwelling place. I can only lucid until I try to leave the area to which I'm confined. The minute I try to escape, the dream resets. Escape is forbidden for some reason.

Trying to read is an easy check. The text cannot stay the same and might be interpreted in your mind (left side of the brain can't read in sleep). Just look away and look back.

Never knew what this was called although it's happened multiple times until today, where I was so freaked out I looked it up. It was not a loop however, it was one false awakening where I woke up to my mother and grandmother trying to get the devil to possess me and as soon as I started to feel weird and a sense of dread, my mother told me I look like a completely different person. I woke up facing the same way looking exactly where they were, uncovered by my blanket and covered in goosebumps.

Thank you so much for this. I absolutely HATE false awakenings, Iā€™ve had them a few times (luckily quite spaced out) and I recently had one a few nights ago. And itā€™s really annoying and scary in itā€™s own way because I feel like I CANT wake up, because itā€™s just a loop. But one thing I do realise sometimes, itā€™s heavier to get out of bed in the dream, sometimes I havenā€™t been able to before it just loops again. But I have done reality checks, and I think that did wake me up, then after that I did one last reality check and pinched myself (which is just so I can check if I feel the pain). But a long time while I was having these dreams, I thought I was alone, until someone told me they had them too and I did some research. But next time I have one of these dreams, Iā€™m going to try do more reality checks. One thing I have noticed, every time I have these dreams, all I want to do is wake up, so I doubt Iā€™ll continue with the lucid dream. I really hope I donā€™t have another one anytime soon though

Problem is... I'm usually fully aware that I'm in a false awakening, but I can't actually get out of it no matter how hard I try. It's usually lights not turning on that lead to the realization. Wake up, get out of bed, go flip the light switch, light won't turn on, realize I'm still asleep. Try again.. Wake up (definitely feels real this time!), get up, flip the bedroom light switch... this time the bedroom light turns on, but now the bathroom light switch happens to be on the opposite wall... Sigh Still asleep. Wake up, get up, this time I make it out to the kitchen, but the wall is a different color, start screaming at myself to "WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP", get out of bed, light turns on, then I see a camel sitting next to bed. Usually after the first 4 or 5 tries, I start to feel this panic that I'm going to get stuck this way forever. Last night I wasn't able actually to get myself out of it so I finally just gave up trying. I've found that just focusing on something simple... Like a peaceful stream running through a forest or the sound of ocean waves puts me back to sleep fairly fast, then I can wake up normal later on.

I had a false awakening like years ago it is the lucid nightmare within lucid nightmare I was walking in the mall with my mom(?) suddenly the building started shaking. The first floor started blacking out. The space seem warped the escalator I am on is stretching. Everyoneā€™s face around me is blurred and then they all disappeared. In panic, I was running up the escalator to escape the black out that was coming up floor by floor. I feel so terrible that I thought ā€œthis is a dreamā€ then close my eye. I opened my eye I feel refresh as if I am awake but NO Iā€™m not in my room. What is see is so clear I still remember till this day(as if it is not a dream). I am on chair on student uniform. I try to move but I canā€™t. There is no rope my body just wonā€™t move. I was in the all white room the chair is white the little table is white . In front of me there is a black door alongside the window that lead to nothingā€” It was all black I can see nothing behind. The door somehow was slowly opening. The chill ran down my spine so hard I feel my heart rate going up and I for the last time close my eye then wake up.

You can get lucid dreams and False awakenings by having a stress or anxiety or so. BUT the big question is, if you dont have any stress or anxiety and you get lucid or false awakenings most people of my country called it "Devil disturb" If you dont pray before you go to sleep the devil can disturb your dreams or even make it scary but if you are scared it will get to the level when you cant escape from your dreams.

I experience extremelly vivid false nightmare awakening loop from time to time, I can't even count how many loop it does, it's like having 10 nightmares within half an hour, it always happens within the first hour of sleep, and bothers me for the rest of the day after, like rn. And I try to get out, after a few loops I realised that it's a dream, but no matter what I do I stay stuck until I eventually wake up, and thing is usually my nights are just go to sleep, blackness, wake up. But those nightmares are so vivid, I can feel if a ghost dog bites me, or if I fall on a wall. And idk what to do about them and they really annoy me and are so freaking frightening when they happen šŸ˜–

I think I just had a couple in a row, this is my first time not being able to wake up. I went to sleep at 4 am and it seemed like forever passed by and when I woke up again and everything in my room looked similar, I only had been it for 3 hours since it was 7. It wasnā€™t really a daily life thing but it was super weird. Whenever I woke up my room was completely different from the last. Like one time my bed was in my bathroom or closet or it had a different structure of walls or extra windows. When I first entered, I somehow though pt everything was natural when I looked out the window and saw it holding a car taking it somewhere and the sound was really loud. I thought it was normal since I was like ā€œoh, they must be saving someone inside the car from something.ā€ So I left it alone. Unlike others, instead of feeling heavy in my dreams I feel very light and can jump higher and perform tricks. (Honestly it was kind of like miraculous ladybug once I discovered I can jump on roof to roof.) but it wasnā€™t as cheerful as something was chasing me and getting closer. Every dream in this one dream of mine, something happened where just people were trying to kill me or chase me. Everything looked normal in mirrors and I could even feel it when I pinched myself, but I knew it was a dream from how I can kick off walls and land on them. I also can now distinguish it was a dream since when I woke up in all of them, I didnā€™t have my back brace that I am supposed to wear everytime I sleep on so once I saw it on me this morning I was so glad I was awake. All the other times I didnā€™t even have access to any devices so when I had my phone I had my sister come and make sure I was awake and to scream in the hallway. I have Astigmatism in my eye so when I woke up, I thought I didnā€™t since everything was weird and moving since my eyes are different shapes (like a circle and an oval) so I normally see differences in the height or stuff are like moving in my eyes, Iā€™m not too sure how to describe it.) When I was being chased in the dreams of mine, I always thought about waking up so when I did, I was like ā€œIā€™m finally awakeā€, but nope since I just awoke into another dream. I hope that I donā€™t enter one next time, and im honestly scared to sleep. But I give my future self goodluck, just in case.
