She is 100% right about machine learning and Ai being the way forward. It will change everything, material sciences. Letting us create exotic metals that can withstand cosmic radiation. And it will identify planets with organic life by simply looking at the spectrum of light in the atmosphere, only it will do it with 99% accuracy. Human beings just dont have the ability to keep track of such vast systems like the universe or even just quantum mechanics. The computers will show us the truth of these systems which we cannot see with our limited senses.

The answer to Fermi's paradox is kind of obvious once we realize consciousness is non-local and fundamental, i.e. not an epiphenomenon and not confined to space-time. Then radio and space travel are both superfluous to ET. Contact with ET and shamans has been ongoing for thousands of years and encoded in many of the world's religious writings, albeit in a confused and disguised way. Why would it evolve this way? Shamans confer survival advantage to the tribe by learning from the ET. It is really pretty obvious, ahaha. We can spend another 100 years proving that ET radio communications dont exist, or we can re-learn the forgotten latent faculties in our own brains like kundalini.

Picture an infinite fishing line with a drop of water somewhere along it's forever stretching length. That's us, in "time". The likelihood of another UNRELATED extraterrestrial happening at the exact same time has a probability of 10 to the -infinity power. If we see "aliens", they are future us's blowing it by risking a butterfly event, -accidentally making contact.

Seems like the best answer has always been: It is highly unwise to announce you presence. The smartest is to be stealthy. There are most likely other civilizations but they realized a long time ago that attracting attention is a very, very bad idea. Infinite universe, infinite levels of development, there's is always someone bigger, badder, meaner, and very interested in what you have.
