I would pay lots of real $$$ to see the Enterprise / Archer crew in a cinema movie!

I know this was a slighty accidental vid cos Sean's away, but I enjoyed the casual 'just hanging out, chatting with mates' vibe. Would watch more like this, if you guys ever felt like making them. :)

The timing of this announcement is suspicious given the current negotiations Warner Discovery is in to buy Paramount. A huge announcement that the brand's biggest franchise is working on a whole bunch of movies will of course cause a media storm and the entire fanbase to lose their minds. Which is exactly what a group of shareholders who have a vested interest in padding the stock price before a buyout, would want. It reminds me of when Disney pressured Marvel into announcing a bunch of upcoming movies and shows at the 2020 investor day. Kevin Feige was on stage announcing release dates for projects that were nothing more than concepts.

Regarding it being a Kelvin vs original timeline, it seems clear to me that they will set it in the Kelvin timeline, continuity be damned. I think it wiser to just assume the Kelvin movies are a completely separate version of Star Trek in every way. I doubt the people making them care about continuity

Lads, you’re so laid back you almost make Sean look manically hyper 😂

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I wish they'd abandon the Kelvin timeline. The movies were fine, and I had zero problems with the casting. I just am not a fan of multiple timelines in general. Full disclosure, I hate that they destroyed Vulcan. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

FYI SXSW is short for South by South West, its a film festival and huge event for Austin, TX.

The episodes he directed in Andor were excellent! I'm happy he's getting to work on something bigger.

While I REALLY want a new Trek movie, I DO NOT want another Kelvin timeline movie. Give us a Voyager or DS9 movie. Give us a post-Picard movie with the Enterprise-G if they don't want to give us a series (which tend to be mini-movies these days anyways). Give us a movie that fixes the Kelvin timeline paradox and brings us back to the prime timeline that exists post-TNG/VOY/DS9. But please, DO NOT give us ANOTHER fucking prequel unless it's to fix the blunder of the final episode for ENT or to fix the Kelvin paradox.

They could erase the Kevlin Timeline using the Kelvin actors with the Enterprise cast. Then outro with the SNW cast. Timey wimey stuff. Those are the best Trek episodes.

Not Prime, its explained that Nero's incursion caused the timeline in both directions. Its a whole new universe, one of the main reasons it can be explained is think about how often characters moved back and forth through the time stream throughout Star Trek, a lot more would change than just the timeline from the Kelvin.

This is one of the best videos I have watched in a while, and I mean YouTube generally, because the two of you, you are so natural and uncomfortable that it really feels like two people just talking through news

Would it have Archer in this movie? He was still alive at the time of the first JJ movie based on Scotty’s statement.
