"This car is nowhere as bad as the Karma" - meets Fisker Karma!!!!

I'm in awe at the lack of signalized intersections during your cruise. If only we built our cities with traffic circles from the start, our fuel consumption would be about a third less compared to the sea of signalized intersections we have in the USA. My state has maybe 4 traffic circles in the entire state. It's insane the amount of congestion we have during rush hours. Though we unfortunately could never convert all our intersections to circles. The amount of buildings that would have to be torn down to make room for circles would be in the hundred of billions to compensate.

I see 2 scenarios for buying this car. Either to keep it as a garage princess, hoping it will go up in price in 50 years 😅 or buy it for the dicounted price and use it to its death, with hopes of its hardware lasting as long as possible. The resale value will plummet so I don't think buying for short term makes sense, even with discounted price.
But, getting a big comfortable car and a very big battery for 40k is not such a bad deal, as long as the car is usable and one can compromise a bit in software experience etc. With some luck, Fisker might also deliver updates and improve the experience somewhat.
Overall, I agree with Bjørn, it's not such a bad car and with the heaviness and influence that Marques' voice has, the message he conveyed came out a bit too critical, in my opinion. Of course I trust Bjørn's opinion more on this topic. But being a viewer/consumer of both of them, I can say that my impression of the car was pretty much as Bjorn presented it here, after having watched Marques' review. I got an objective look at the car and its features and drawn my own conclusion so I think it's subjective how people receive the message as well. Then again, most people will probably take Marques' message word for word and further downplay Fisker as the worst car manufacturer ever, even though this is clearly not the case.

So the Fisker Ocean is reasonably well built and it drives reasonably well. However the software is very buggy but that can potentially be fixed over time with software updates, if the company survives. I hope Fisker can find a way to survive as more choice is good for the consumer, especially with the inevitable influx of Chinese EVs that will be coming in.

I believe most of bugs can get squashed with software updates, and efficiency in colder climate could be improved with some hardware tweaks.
I hope Fisker get funds or get acquired by other manufacturer, as the car seems a solid product and it is made in Europe, it would be a waste to let all that engineering effort go wasted.

20:47 charge port open may just be the sensor not in adjustment or too sensitive detecting.

33:52 that's me in the Karma! I'm actually quite happy with it! Feels like a GT car on long drives. I live in the Jessheim area. Let me know if you want to give the Karma another go! Maybe your mind will change since last time you tried it :)
