Ok so when I was in my "Twilight" phase as a teen I read the book "Generation Dead" Which is this movie but significantly better. The zombies were more like people with disabilities, the plot was akin to zombie Hairspray where the undead kids had to fight for their rights (with less singing). It was a civil rights allegory but it also touched on ableism and took itself seriously. This seems like a very, very bad adaptation of that book.

I do think itâs stupid that Addison tries to act like sheâs the same as the zombies as she hasnât faced what they have
BUT she still is an outcast. If she removes the wig, sheâll no longer be perfect and if you arenât like the others then youâll be shunned and outcasted so Addison definitely has a reason to worry. She is at risk of being socially stigmatized if she doesnât keep all of it hidden.
Doesnât mean she should consider herself Ok par with the zombies who are systematically oppressed as a whole but her situation isnât close to nothing
