Windows 11 was recently updated to Movement 3. Today we are going to look at some of the changes that stood out to me. This isn't a complete list of updates but rather just the ones that I thought where the coolest. Also, if anyone can tell me what the "movement" in movement 3 means I would appreciate it.

Edit: just for the record, I was made aware by several commenters that I made a boneheaded mistake in this video. it's called "Moment 3" not "Movement 3". aside from that the rest of the video is accurate.

Moment 3 Moments is an internal name for these continuous innovation updates, each one adds a few files called sv2momentx, where x is moment update number, 23h2 is moment 4. It's a new way Windows team is adding features.

Thanks for the heads up... I had to chuckle at the reference to bowel movement. It was the first that came to my mind, lol!

You can also quickly reach the menu for adding seconds by right-clicking on the clock in the taskbar. Then click on "Adjust date and time".

Another informative video. The only tweak I knew of is the seconds in the clock.

I don't think operating systems should be advertising content. Windows is not an advertising platform, it's a desktop operating system

The PrtSc hotkey setting is also included in Windows 10 settings in approximately the same location. Windows 10 also implemented the Alt-Tab feature you showed.

Although I do prefer the old context menu I have to say that I have come to like how the copy and paste icons appear at the top or bottom depending where you right click. Saves a fraction of a mouse stroke but it is quite a nice feature.

Moment 3 not Movement 3. Some features may already be installed, but disabled

I'm using Insider Beta and they have finally bought back animation when switching through desktops, great for people who use multiple Desktops :D

At the time I learned about that KDE connect thing it didn't support windows. Since then I forgot about it completely. Thanks for the news on KDE Connect and for the reminder.

Windows updates in general remind me of bowel movements, so it's kind of fitting...

May be they get some musical : Movement in music typically consists of four different parts: opening movement, second movement, third movement, and final movement (crescendo) . Just may be....

Thanks for showing the PRTSC feature, now I know why the 3. part program: Greenshot stopped working. After turning that feature off, it works again, I have used Greenshot for many years now, and everytime I try to give the feature a chance in Windows, I always end up going back to Greenshot, because that 3. part program is just so much better, I mean just to say one thing, its ridiculous that you have to open paint to save a small area. With Greenshot, it just ask if you want to save right away, you can even set it up to auto save.

I think one of the major hurdles for MS is those on-board since DOS/Win 3.x, had to learn to tweak. From the OS to m/b jumpers most eventually blew it up and had to reinstall. Many became proficient enough to trouble shoot, avoiding a reinstall. Then, by the latter 90's & early 2000's Windows hit the mainstream. Suddenly there were a million grandmothers and aunties making 'gift cards' and playing mahjong, were calling tech support because they'd blown shit up... again. Since then MS have looking for a balance of accessibility. I could be talking shit though :)
