Story time because this song reminds me of my current situation. So I’m on my school’s robotics team. This is my first ever year in robotics while most people have at least 3 years of experience (I’m a freshman in HS). For the most part I’ve been doing a job called notebooking where I basically log any and all progress my team (out of 10 robotics teams in my school) has made on creating our robot. Because of this and it being my first year, I am constantly asking other teams for advice on my notebook. Specifically this one team we will call G. G is towards the back of the robotics room near a team we’ll call W. This story concerns two members of W team: Caleb and Simon. Caleb saw me constantly as I was talking with G team, and he thought I was very attractive but since I’m a freshman man he’s a senior he kept it to himself. Simon thought that I was very cute. See this story could just be two guys thinking I’m attractive and both of them acting on it, but it’s slightly more complicated; Simon and Caleb are brothers. In my opinion, Caleb is the more attractive one. Anyhow, Caleb starts making a point to be near my team (J) during meetings so he can see me. Simon does the same thing but he talks with me. Now fast forward to our first tournament. All teams are going. W team and my team were given spots to put our stuff right next to eachother. Due to this I saw Simon and Caleb a lot throughout the day. Most people picked up on the tension between Caleb, Simon, and me. Skip to the end of the tournament, past when everyone is going home or to celebrate. I have a friend, Jack. Jack’s house is the main place people go after tournaments since he has a lot of extra parts for robots and a field for driving said robots. Caleb and Simon were there; I was not. Jack got a recording of Caleb admitting that he found me “smoking hot” but that he “wouldn’t date me because of the age gap.” Jack had also caught in this recording Simon agreeing with Caleb. Now I am not the type to believe stuff that can easily be set up, so I asked Caleb his opinion on me (at the time I didn’t care for Simon much), to which he said he thought I was cute, smart, dangerously attractive, a fun and awesome person, and admitted that he loves how observant I am. Caleb ended up telling Simon about this interaction, to which Simon was a little upset. I started talking to Simon more and more to the point I developed a crush on him, where as with Caleb I only found him attractive. Simon ended up asking me to be his girlfriend, and I said yes. It gets interesting here, because Caleb was livid, and asked why I would date his brother of all people. I told him I liked his brother, to which he left me on read. I ended up ticking him off on several occasions since. 1: he asked when he would have to drive Simon and I for a date, to which I said we could do after I smash his (Caleb’s) face in with a brick. 2: I told him I thought he was incapable of human emotions. 3: I asked him why he lied to Simon about blocking me on Snap and questioned what he meant when he said “it’s better for both of us.” Even though I have ticked him off, his friend Cameron (who just so happens to be Jack’s older brother) told me Caleb wouldn’t shut up about me. Present time, I am going to Jack’s house today where Simon and Caleb will also be. This should be interesting <3
