Ever since September 1st, 2017, I have been making annual word docs describing what I did in the day, basically like a journal entry or a diary. I started when I was 15, and now over four years later I'm 19 and still writing them. On the last day of the year, I look back on all of my days throughout the year to reminisce and be able to see exactly what I was feeling in the moment and the exactly what happened. I never want to stop doing it, especially because of the reasons you listed in this video. I hope that when I become 25, a father, etc, I'm able to look back on these fleeting moments that I had where I could watch myself mature and form into the person I am and the person I will become in the future.

there's real beauty in knowing there's no concrete grounding to 'you' because you can make your own grounding through discovery, discovery of what makes you smile and play as well as discovery of what makes you utterly miserable, you're always surrounded by change so you must realise you are change, you are a part of it and that's how it is

Dude, smoked right before watching this and had to break the 420 likes! Got so sucked in and took notes. Fantastic vid, loved the quotes and your personal experience intertwine!d Especially enjoyed the part about friends as other selves/ images. Personally I kind of see other people, both present and in memories, as carved out black holes that leak out their matter viaa expressions, actions, so on. They never feel like static or solid images, more like masses of melange. Like little swirling supernovas. Anyway, thank you - it was fucking bril and I genuinely enjoyed this!

I felt like the best part of the video was in the beginning when you referred to your own experiences and related philosophical concepts to them. That portion was more grounded in reality to which most viewers could relate. As ironic as this may sound given what the video is covering, the rest was kind of too abstract for a viewer to truly take something away from. While trying to be ponderous and thought-provoking, I felt like it was inaccessible to casual viewers and it came off as borderline pretentious with the various quotes from philosophers.

What are your thoughts on this video? As I move forward working with different narration and presentation styles, some videos will lean more towards subjective introspection while others will consist in objective documentation. I want to work with both styles, hopefully in a complementary manner. You might notice some figures quoted here that I mentioned in my last video - this was entirely intentional. Further, I know that this style of video is outside of my wheelhouse. Consequently, I am aware that it is not as polished as it could be, especially in comparison to former videos. Any and all criticism is appreciated - thank you!
