The original held an instrument for every friend in your solar system. Perhaps this holds one for every friend in the universe?

"do you hear them? Every note, every melody. They're calling you. We have traveled a long way, encountered lives and songs beyond comprehension. We sing as one.We are united in our melody. So, my little wanderer. Care for a song?"

This legitimately made me cry. When this game came out I, like many others, confused it for Outer Worlds. I decided one late night to fire it back up and ended up playing until 5 AM. I have been gaming almost all of my life and this game single handedly renewed my passion, and this cover has single handedly renewed my love of the game. thank you!

My friend recommended this game to me, saying to go in completely blind and only have a talk with him once I was sure I was about to go for the final loop to talk theories, ideas, etc. So I decided to do a discord stream with him when I got to that point. I sat on timber hearth's campfire with a marshmellow. I imagined I rounded everyone up to tell a story. An unbelievable story that, by the time they would take it seriously, they'd forget it. With that in mind I started telling my recollection of the game. The sad story of the curious nomai who visited our system ages ago. How we survived to the horrible coincidence that was the final nail for them. How I've discovered what's going on with our universe, what they've done in search of the eye of the universe. And how I shed some tears knowing I couldn't save them. At the start of the game I thought the sun station was prompting the supernova. That if I stopped it, I'd save them. But it wasn't like that. Maybe we could use the working drive thingy, jump on their ship and transport to another safer place but no place was safe. So rather than living forever in this 22 minute loop for eternity I would follow the path of the Nomai who I had grown to love. The only thing left was the eye of the universe. Going there meant that everyone would die for good and there was no real hope. I didn't know what would happen once I got there. But it was something. And though they were never aware of the millions of times they've been through, I sat there until our sun exploded again, enjoying the moment with them. Hopefully, some would feel that joy 14.3 billion years later.

Kept imagining this be the music you hear after you die. No heaven or hell just you drifting into the cosmos. Memories play one after another one last time, then you reach the end and youre back to the origin of life. A beautiful cycle.

I played this game with my little sister and my big bro, each of us on our own computer. We would decide to explore a different planet then we shared in real life our discoveries and decide what to do next , this game alone made our bonds even stronger like any other games could. We took walks outside in real life and talking about this, eternal memories.

Grown ass dad of 3 crying like a baby after casually watching a universe die and be reborn. I’m so glad I live in a time where i got to experience Outer Wilds.

I listened to this cover a while ago and didn't pay so much attention to it but today I listened to it again and started to cry, I quickly understood why, just like in the end of outer wilds, each instrument is a friend we made within our solar system. Now I imagine the same scene but with all the solar systems playing this song, all in their own way, separately they may sound different but all together they form an epic melody, all together they form the universe and create a new one, because in the end that's what we are ... 'Travellers'

To float adrift in a gentle void And find brief patterns in the endless stars And listen to the universe As it turns over in its sleep I should think That's not so bad At all.

This is such a beautiful cover! The build-up starting around 2:00 is fantastic - I love when the choir comes in. I just finished Outer Wilds, but this theme already makes me feel nostalgic haha. Nice work!
