I've struggled with music theory all my life. Which is why I've been fascinated by it. This really helps. Thank you.

Thank you. I knew the scale had major and minor chords attached to it, but didn't know the minor chords were different modes. I never sat down and tried to figure out why "a minor" was the relative minor of "C" and not the other minor keys in the scale

I’ve been playing forever and never put it together like that before. I use that D shape for playing a G and A a lot but I’m sitting here and just slapped myself on the head because it was so obvious and I couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Thanks for a great, simple, easy to understand video!

As a piano player, this is exactly what I needed to see to visually make sense of the guitar neck. Brilliant. Thank you!

Nicely done video. Succinct, and well presented. All this is lost on me I'm afraid - can you make the connection on why I or anyone would need to know this stuff. What does this have to do with playing the guitar?

I made up an original for the modes: I Don't Pee Like My Aunt Lucy I have found that the sillier the sentence, the easier it is to remember.
