This is still my favorite movie of all time nearly 40 years ago when I watched it at the age of 12! Pure art.

When this movie came out, they also put the soundtrack on an album, which I listened to nonstop back in the day! Never actually saw the movie until now!

In Indiana, in the early 00s we used to play punk shows in an old grainery we stripped out. We would have bands come from as far as Canada to play with us, and sometimes had as many as 4 bands playing at these shows. It was a lot of fun, and a time in my life I always look back on fondly, it'll never be like that again. I met a lot of punk bands and great musicians that way. We played with a band out of St Louis called "The Pubes" and they were amazing, they were trained musicians who could play stuff like Jazz, and we were straight punks, and they blew us away. Sadly they were junkies, and I bet that didn't help their cause, but they had the potential to be a great band.

At 1:24:42 and a bit after, the woman in yellow being thrown into the drums is my mother I found out later in life by her. I often look back on this. It's wild to see my mother so young and doing such wild things.
She was pulled to the stage by the singer herself and then the man climbs onto stage and slam dances right into her.

I love some of these punk bands, but some of this didnât age well. Itâs pretty focused on a certain punk scene and I hope people know it doesnât represent it all. Good to have as a piece of history and a good look into what it was actually like

Driving around LA in 1980 is when I started seeing the Black Flag stickers on cars. I was intrigued: what the fk is this?? I watched waay too much TV as a kid, so all kinds of possibilities went through my head. Not being in the scene, no info to be found- at least not out in the Valley..
