I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle in New Zealand twice in the 82 and 83. She was an incredible driver and a very charming lady. Between her and Walter Rohl those Audi's were untouchable.

This woman doesnt get the recognition she deserves.
Imagine what she had to put up with when rallying, when it was unheard of ,to have a woman who was as good as any man
Just to be able to be physically strong enough to muscle these monster cars ,with no drivers aids is incredible.
That championship was hers,if it wasnt for mechanical error.
I always remember the stage she drove totally blind in the fog,because she had recced the stage the previous night,and memorised it.
Imagine the commitment you must have,and the trust in your co-drivers pace notes, when you can see zero...1 mistake and disaster.
She was going so much faster than Rohrl,that she caught him up on the stage,as he was the car out before her!
Her achievements have never been matched,or got anywhere near to by any woman since.....legend.
