First of all, thank you so much for 400 subs! I wasn’t prepared to hit this milestone so soon, and therefore I had no time to plan or prepare a special video for this occasion! So please comment a video/event that you would like me to post to celebrate!

Now, here is my little letter to you all:

Sentimental alert

Wow you guys, I cannot believe that my little channel that I made just for music is now at 400 subscribers. 400 people saw my little sloth profile picture and enjoyed my content enough to subscribe. Wow! I am so very thankful for the ride that YouTube has taken me on. If I’m being honest, I’ve never been an avid Dance Moms fan. But when I found the fandom (specifically ClassicDanceMoms, Maddie ALDC and Dance Moms Dolphin at first), it looked so fun, and so I dove into the dance moms world and started making videos of my own! I did it all purely for fun, kind of as a creative outlet. I never expected views, or likes, or comments , and definitely not many subscribers. That’s one of the fun parts of YouTube. First of all, I’ve never been in it for ‘clout’, which allowed me to have fun with making whatever content I wanted to. Second of all, nobody in real like knows about my channel. I mean, my close friends and family know that I have a channel, but I’ve only ever told one friend the actual name of my channel, and I’m sure she’s since forgotten about it. I like having this other world, where I have a different group of friends and supporters with similar interests. This way, no real life drama or fear of embarrassment can get in the way of me posting whatever I wish. I’m quite a ‘little’ channel but I like it that way. It allows me to stay under the radar and also to interact with my fans more personally! This brings me to, the Dance Moms fandom itself. We have DEFINITELY had our ups and downs as a community, but at the end of the day, as long as for the most part you aren’t problematic, the people are quite kind and fun. Obviously, even if you’re unproblematic, you can’t avoid conflict, but we just do our best here 😂. The fandom has expanded so much since I’ve joined, and 2 new seasons of dance moms have passed since I found this community. I’ve seen some say the fandom is ‘dead’, and I can somewhat agree to that. However, I believe that if the creativity of its members still remains, then the fandom is still very much alive. Overall, I am so thankful for this creative outlet, the friends that I have made, and the lessons that I have learned along this almost 2 1/2 year journey of uploading videos. I appreciate all 400 of you :)
