I lost my mom to cancer in May of last year after a seven year battle. She was my best friend in the whole world, and I miss her every day. This song, while not an exact representation of a non-romantic relationship, means so much to me. I listen to it often and it gives me comfort as I continue to mourn. Thank you! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this song. It's a rare song that comes along and changes your life when you hear it. And may it bring the same comfort to others who have lost someone, in whatever form that loss takes.

A very close friend of mine passed away on my birthday last year. She had no prior health issues and fell dead where was standing just moments before. As it turns out, it was an undiagnosed heart condition. I love and miss her so much. She left behind a 5 year old son. Almost everyday there is something I will think of and reach for my phone to text her only to remember shes gone. Please, if you read this, everytime you spend time with someone you love, be mindful of that moment. Megan and I cant do that anymore but you can. Enjoy and be happy. Best wishes to all of you. And she began to do this alone. As you can see, there are some moves that can't be done by one person.
