I was born in 1984 and have been a Dale Earnhardt fan since my earliest memory. I remember he had this aura about him that he was the coolest and toughest sob on the track. I even had the fortune of sitting down with Sr. and Childress when he stayed at Sears Point and I was just a kid. I talked to him for a handful of minutes, but it is burned in memory for life. Point being, as tough as he was on the outside, he was kind enough on the inside to talk to me as a kid.

Jr. I can tell you as a professional dozer operator that what happened to Sr. Happens a lot when you are pushing trees over and you donāt have the blade deep enough when pushing them over the roots will come up under the blade and flip you over in blink of an eye. Iāve had them roll into ditches and fall off cliffs you name it, Iāve seen or had it happenš to bad thereās no pics of that dozer lol, I got a good video of my last dozer oops,

I can relate to the chainsaw story I was a residential contractor until I retired I had a crane come to set the roof trusses it was 8am we were setting the first truss I was on the wall signaling when the truss was about 8" above where it went I gave the signal for cable down when all at once the truss dropped and bounced off the top of the wall catching my left pointer finger and smashed it got the bleeding stopped knew I needed stitches at least had no one there to take my place and the crane couldn't come back for several days I went back to work set all the trusses nailing them with my right hand as I'm left handed made it to the ER around 330pm the Dr was shocked when she heard what time it happened and what I had done that kept me from being there earlier we were raised and built different back then

That story of Dale and his unreal toughness is part of the reason why he was such an inspiration to me when i was growing up cuz he was most definitely everything a true man & southern man should be in my opinion!!Especially his morals and the good heart he did have but few saw that side!!Unfortunately i grew up without a Daddy so Dale was my father figure in my life and I have lived my life with alot of his morals!I have lived my life being very cautious to give out my trust but if I'm someones friend i am until the end unless i get crapped on and if my trust is broke i never give it back!Dale you will always be loved and missed!!!Thanks Jr for all the great stories!!

That story is a good example how Dale Srās mind worked. He definitely didnāt process things like the rest of us would have. If I flipped a dozer that SOB is staying on its side till I go find someone else to drive it. He really didnāt have a quitting bone in his body and seemed to not be scared of anything. The thought of getting hurt likely never even entered his mind. I grew up watching him do things on the track that would make your jaw drop in amazement and have been a lifelong fan of the Earnhardt family. I wish heād have gotten to see Jrās later years, so weād been able to see how proud he was of the man Jr has grown into. Iām sure he always watches over Jr, Kelly, Kerry, and Taylor.
