Fantastic, if there is more please post! This appears to be one of the performances of the London Jazz Composers Orchestra that toured through Germany including Bremen in 1972. Assuming the lineup is similar to the "Ode" or "That Time" LPs: Composer: Barry Guy; Basses: Jeff Clyne, Barry Guy, Chris Laurence; Conductor: Buxton Orr; Guitar: Derek Bailey; Percussion: Paul Lytton, Tony Oxley; Piano: Howard Riley; Saxophones: Mike Osborne, Evan Parker, Alan Wakeman, John Warren, Trevor Watts, Dave White; Trombones: Mike Gibbs, Paul Nieman, Paul Rutherford; Trumpets: Harry Beckett, Mark Charig, Dave Holdsworth, Kenny Wheeler; Tuba: Dick Hart

Free Jazz - und wir haben uns das freiwillig und irgendwie fasziniert angehört 😅 Jazzfestval Burg Altena, Balver Höhle war sonst noch jemand da ? Und keine Angst, auch alle angesagten Bands der Zeit . . .

They play a graphical partiture, a very hip thing in these days. Lots of very competent players.

"A mess - but a definitely convincing ending mess." Best explanation of free jazz ever.

What Frank Zappa would sound like if he wasn't a brilliant composer. Or... push a piano down a set of 100 stairs and write down the notes it makes falling down said stairs.
