No need to apologize, just update when it feels right and you have the time. As someone that over-stretched myself in college, it's way healthier to not burn yourself out.
Also, I do guitar videos for fun, and once it became a regimented stressful thing... it became needlessly hard. Doing what you want when you want keeps it way more fun.

Bro - I found your channel via the Metroid vids and honestly its clear that you work really hard to ensure your videos are all deep and high quality. Because of this, I think I speak for a lot of us when I say we'd much rather you take the time to make sure you're both able to put that effort in and moreover still enjoying it. That way we get better videos and you still get to have fun :D, which means hopefully you'll keep making them.
Quality over quantity every time :)

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve discovered your channel only this week and have binged most of your videos. I watch a metric shit ton of video game critiques and retrospectives on YouTube and I honestly believe you rank up there with channels that get a hell of a lot of subs and views. I’d be more than happy to throw a couple bucks on patreon, so let us know if you make one. I’d rather support the smaller and growing channels rather than the already established ones. And I hope the idea of having patrons wouldn’t make you feel pressured, because I for one understand that some creators can’t keep a consistent upload schedule but would support regardless. Anyways, cheers!

I'm really happy to hear that you're making this change for yourself - in the long run it'll definitely be worth it. I'm sure that your passion for this channel will only continue to grow, and I can't wait to see what you have down the pipeline.
And I'll take you up on that offer to add you on Switch! (Just...don't look at my Splatoon 3 playtime)

I totally relate to everything you said in this video, learning how to balance YouTube work and actual relaxing free time is something I'm still working on. I learned a while ago that I have to play games without recording to really be able to enjoy them for myself, and I'm glad to see you came to the same conclusion. YouTube is great and all, but it should never become so important that gaming itself starts to feel less fun. Totally respect your decision to make videos whenever you can, and you should never feel any pressure to meet deadlines. As you said, this whole thing is supposed to be fun at the end of the day
