What a groovy, classic version with Katrina and the Waves "featuring" the great Eric Burdon of the Animals! I remember they played this version on a China Beach 'opening credits' episode!
Then the show went back to The Supremes 'Reflections'.

What a great rendition of a classic Animals song. I'm watching the China Beach on DVD right now and got to the episode with this song in it. I had to come here and find it. Being a Viet Nam vet it all has special meaning to me.

I bought this on vinyl just to see what it sounded like. Best version ever, still got the vinyl. Can't get it on Spotify. Gutted.

I love both the song and the show. Glad to see China Beach is now on DVD. A friend of min who went to DESERT SHIELD/STORM had the CD of the soundtrack with this song on it, and listened to it when out in the middle of the Saudi desert getting ready for the war. It also was played occasionally on AFN Radio.
