My Dad used to play this on guitar. He passed away in October last year and we played this at his funeral - I think he would've been proud. Rest in Peace Dad, I hope you found your stairway to heaven. Edit: Thanks everyone for your support. Today was the one year anniversary of his death, jamming to this and reading through your kind comments 🥹

You think you’re tired of it… then you play it… you’ll never tire of it…

The dislikes are from guitar store employees who hear this all the time from bad players Edit: 6.9k likes, nice. I’m amazed this is still getting many likes even after YouTube has removed dislikes. Keep rocking on with this timeless masterpiece!

Stairway to Heaven is one of the most iconic pieces of music ever made. Recorded/released in 1971, 50 years later, it still kicks ass, touches the soul, tugs at the heart, and takes you through an unforgettable journey that is simply timeless. Incredible composition that many consider a masterpiece. This remastered version is fantastic.

I couldn't stand this song back in the 70's because it was played CONSTANTLY on the radio. Now, 50 years later, I listen to it with a different perspective. It is definitely the greatest song in rock history.

There's a lady who's sure All that glitters is gold And she's buying a stairway to heaven When she gets there she knows If the stores are all closed With a word she can get what she came for Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh And she's buying a stairway to heaven There's a sign on the wall But she wants to be sure 'Cause you know, sometimes words have two meanings In a tree by the brook There's a songbird who sings Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, it makes me wonder There's a feeling I get When I look to the west And my spirit is crying for leaving In my thoughts I have seen Rings of smoke through the trees And the voices of those who stand looking Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, it really makes me wonder And it's whispered that soon If we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason And a new day will dawn For those who stand long And the forests will echo with laughter Oh whoa-whoa-whoa, oh-oh If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now It's just a spring clean for the May Queen Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run And there's still time to change the road you're on And it makes me wonder Oh, whoa Your head is humming and it won't go In case you don't know The piper's calling you to join him Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow? And did you know Your stairway lies on the whispering wind? And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul There walks a lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How everything still turns to gold And if you listen very hard The tune will come to you at last When all are one and one is all, yeah To be a rock and not to roll And she's buying a stairway to heaven

My dad used to teach himself guitar and he taught himself how to play this when I was a small kid. I never knew what he was playing until I recognize it when I was shopping. He would close his eyes as he played it, he sounded like an old mountain man when he singed. It added this mysterious chill to it. Hearing this made me so happy that I could remember all those times again. 😢

This song will live famously forever, it doesn't matter what happens to music or where it goes this master price will live on. It will always be played. And for those who wrote it we owe a great debt to.

Jimi Hendrix once said he didn't think much of Led Zeppelin. If only he had lived long enough to hear this masterpiece.
