Unstoppable, Unbeatable or Undroppable - which would you choose?

I built up a GRX gravel bike last month and was impressed by the ride. I'm 75 years old, by the way. Then I decided to go for a spin on m y '91 Ritchey Ascent Comp. Full XT. Is the gravel bike any better than the 30 year old Ritchey? Not really. I love Shimano but somebody needs to get them to calm down. All this innovation....it's about marketing, not performance.

I'm waiting for a 12 speed di2 GRX groupset. Don't know why they haven't released one yet.

Man I love this. I'm already running full grx11 and I've just bought the 822 rd. Not sure if I'll go full upgrade or just just it to run a 11-51

What this group said be considered a high-end gravel group set? what would be considered a mid-level or entry level group set for gravel?

What dt swiss converter does it need for slx/xt 10-51 D cassette?

Sounds like the ticket for me. If you want even further range add the eThirteen mtb cassette. It’s 9-52T!!! Wow. It requires a different hub body though and the cassette alone is $350 (I think). And you might have to add a derailleur hanger extension.

It's about time! Finally, Shimano has made a mechanical dropbar shifter for a wide range 1x (500% or more range, 10-51) cassette. Why did this take so long? Sram will follow soon!

Hi I'm just a newb when it comes to bikes, but I'm wondering if you can just put an 11-51 11 speed cassette onto the old GRX 810s or if you need to change out other components if I were to change to a 11-51 cassette

I'm having trouble finding gravel wheels that are compatible with the Microspline driver. What am I missing here?

Pull ratio compatible? Which RD can it pull? RX812? M8120?

Holy molly that naming scheme is stupid. I hope they will finally offer grx cranks in shorter crank lengths at least 160mm.

Lol the updates on the brakes.. changing fasteners from hex bolt and flathead screw to Allen key as a highlight? What is this, the 1930s? I'm also frustrated that the derailleur is basically a MTB model, however GRX does not have MTB compatible pull ratios. That plus the shift to microspline. The bike industry has really decended into a web of incompatible standards. Overall, cool that the gear ranges are slightly expanded. This generation seems like a mild iteration, nothing groundbreaking.

They don't rival SRAM. Sram already introduced (although I can't find it for sale) a mechanical 12 speed. It can work in a mullet setup to use with up to a 10-52 or their gravel with 10-44. And you know this. You covered it on June 15.

SRAM should not be worried. They took far too long to bring out 12 speed GRX and road. Too expensive for mechanical and you’ll run into issues switching certain wheels to microspline. This morning I purchased Rival AXS shifters and brakes, Eagle GX AXS, 10-50 cassette and a Rival crankset for £850! I had to shop around for sales and buy things separate. Currently this SRAM Mullet build is cheaper and available compared to GRX 12 speed.

Will there be a 2x12 speed GRX (2.0)?

"Cringy"? Those "cringy" names for the groupsets are great! They intuatively describe the cassette sizing for each groupset.. Come to real gravel country.. Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah.. and get some sun on your skin and insight into avid gravel riders' thinking.
