This makes sense to why the most recent Earth Bound prototype found without the UV protection wasn't erased because, as Phil said, it would take a really strong douse of the UV rays to erase the ROM. The cart was being sold at a garage sale out in broad daylight, but thankfully, Jacob Christopher, put some tape on the cart to prevent any further damage. It touches my heart when people do things like that to an amazing piece of history, preserving the past for others.

Since EarthBound, I don't like the changes he made in Mother like towns that are named after holidays. EarthBound towns named after numbers and gamers like it. Podunk, Merrysville, Spookane, Youngtown, and Ellay are too clichéd. Holy Loly Mountain that is called Mt. Itoi, creators don't deserve to be named for places. The abbreviated names like BioCenti, LastStarman makes the game look bugged. Jen, Caroline, and Suzy have different names also. I prefer the Famicom credits because of the Eight Melodies that is playing in the credits on Holy Loly--it fits with the slogan "No Crying Until the Ending." We already know that the adults will be free if Gyiyg is defeated if you talk to the prisoner before getting the eighth melody. It is acceptable for the fact that Teddy is killed.

This was so cool and informative. I'm glad this got put up online for people like to me to hear about how things worked back then. Not just the Mother/Earthbound games, but Final Fantasy 1 I feel is also cool and a lot of those games he touched, it'd be so cool if Mr. Sandhop went to a convention or two and have a panel about this too. Thank you for providing this hour of information it was really fun c:
