I've just returned from my brother's funeral on the Isle of Man and this song was played at the time of personal reflection. It was beautiful and extremely emotional but perfect for the occasion. I'll never be able to listen to this song again without thinking of my brother 💔 😪

I'm born and bred on the Isle of Man, my heart thumps listening to this and tears well in my eyes. "Oh land of our birth, Oh, gem of gods earth, oh, Island so strong and so fair, built firm as Barrule, Thy throne of home rule, make us free as thy sweet mountain air" is our nation anthem, although, Ellan Vannin is our unofficial anthem.

I live on the east coast of Northern Ireland. Opposite our little village, on a clear day we can see the Isle of Man. The green from the fields, and the snow on the hills. Really magical experience

I've never been to the Isle of Man, but my grandfather was born there and when he passed away two years ago I learnt this song and played it on violin and sang it at his funeral. I'm fiercely proud of a place I've never been and I began my "The Emerald Isle" school concert with this acapella. I'll always be proud of that.

My dear, this song of Robin really is astounding. Gives me goosebumps from head to toes. Astonishing and unique performance. Superior to all. He can reach that highest level and it sounds perfect. No wonder the citizens of isle of Mann honors Robin. Love this song. Now my most favorite of all. Love Robin's voice. Missed him performing again. Too early our God Lord Almighty 🙏 took him away from his fans but for good. He is now singing with the angels up there with Mo and Andy. God bless them three.
