They do so many rises and falls dynamically in this song, I completely lost count. Not taking anything away from anyone else, but for me, Matt and Kirstie stole this one. Matt's soulful and emotional solo, and Kirstin's ending belts just transformed this from a fairly standard Christmas song into an epic celebration!
I know it's one of Kirstie's favorite Christmas songs, and I'd be willing to bet Matt has sung it a time or two growing up, since his father is the musical director of his church. When PTX originally recorded this song several years ago, Kirstie had the lead almost the entire way, and it's hard to imagine PTX upgrading that, but they did!

Whoa Matt!! Knocked me flat!! Then Kirsten's "Divine", Mitch, and Scott's "Fall.....". Just beautiful-especially loved Kirsten and Mitch's mid range fullness of tone. Would love to hear more of that! Great reaction Jen, as always.

I like all the lead changes in this version - everyone gets to shine. But MATT! My goodness - we've heard bits of him soloing before, but this is outstanding. And of course, Kirstie's belt is wonderful at the end. Thanks for all the breakdown info.
