I´m form El Salvador and I showed my mother who lived through the war and she agreed with everything said here. She even told me a story for context: General José Alberto Medrano, along with his forces, dressed themselves as monks to cross into Honduras riding on donkeys. After crossing he went on to fight in the battle that crippled the Honduran airforce at Toncontin International airport.

2:06 nah man this had nothing to do with the tension, this is just typical CONCACAF behavior; they still do it today. Fireworks, pulling the fire alarm, throwing projectiles, and otherwise harassing the opposing team all night before the game.
