I calculated it :) Peak force for your hands would would be your combined weight + the centripidal force while at maximum velocity (at the bottom of the swing): 2619N or 267kg equivilant weight. (1255,7N because of the swing and 1363N from just holding the deadweight) -> If you can performe a Deadhang with 4x Bodywweight you can do the stunt. I assumed your own weight is 75 kg. Interestingly the lenght of the rope is not relevant to the equasion. Longer rope -> you are faster, but it takes less force to keep you in the circular trajectory.

8:24 Here’s the work for the force calculation on the half circle swing ! Equations: Gravitational Potential at Top = m * g * h Kinetic Energy at Bottom = 0.5 * m * v^2 Acceleration in Circular Motion = v^2 / r F = ma Set energy initial and final equal + solve for velocity: m * g * h = 0.5 * m * v^2 g * h = 0.5 * v^2 v = sqrt(2 * g * h) Equation for circular net acceleration: A = v^2 / r Plug in velocity from previous steps A = 2 * g * h / r Solve for Net Force: F = m * a Plug in acceleration at bottom of swing F = m * 2 * g * h / r Solve for Tension: Net force <up> = tension <up> - (m * g) <weight down> Plug in net force on left: m * 2 * g * h / r = tension - (m * g) Solve for Tension: tension = m * 2 * g * h / r + (m * g) Height and radius are same, so cancel: tension = 2mg + mg tension = 3mg tension = 1,881.6 N Convert to Kg: 1,881.6 N / 9.8 = 192 kg

Brilliant Anton, who'd of thought you'd get people taking maths in comments, great work folks. Whatever the answer is I think we can all say Anton is strong AF.

Using a rigid rope (as in, non stretchable) is usually a bad idea but that's one of the few cases where it would make sense : you want it to keep the same length and not throw the bottom guy towards the center if he misses.

Put your foot against the ceiling before you drop, then push off the ceiling. That would get you a lot of extra momentum. The one problem is that you would have to face away from the next grip to do this, so you’d have to turn 180° as you swung

Such a cool idea, it's great that you got the opportunity to test it ! Sounds fun but difficult on paper, and it's clearly even more difficult than that, you guys are beasts ! 💪 PS : really enjoying the way the channel is evolving, it's so diverse and the quality is improving, thank you for the quality content !

For the working up a swing, having a sling dangling from the point of attachment to your harness that the dangler can put their foot in and push against would make a huge difference. (at 4:00)

I noticed one thing you didn’t try is starting the 2 man swing with you facing AWAY from rather that towards Brett (?). That way initially your body weight would assist the swing and as he got higher you could use your core to assist the swing. Also you be able to see him in the critical bit. Worth a try I would think.
