My mother was always mentioning her need to die when she was sick... she wanted to be alone all the time of her disease. And the day she has passed away, I was not by her side to say goodbye Cause I was at school. After she has been burried, I felt guilty and depressed during 4 years. It's been 10 years now that shes died.... I miss her so much and I'm still loving her. Thanks Avril, for this powerful song!
Edit: OMG, thank you guys and gals for your kind and sweet comments. I almost forgot about this post from 6 years ago. I am doing better than before after an ongoing battle with anxiety and depression for the past 16 years due to my mom’s passing. I just recently happened to accept it and be at peace with myself and with the help of the best therapist I have ever had in my life. It takes time to heal and to accept, but one thing that I know is that even though it’s been almost 16 years, my love for my mom still remains intact. I almost cried at 5:50. I've been there. I have really felt that sadness when you must say goodbye to the person you love thinking that you will never find anybody else to whom you love more. I remember when I saw this video for the first time. It came out during the night (in Italy) and so I watched it at 6 am before taking my bus to school. I loved it so much from the first time and I remember thinking: omg, this is so moving, I can only guess what a person feels like when she has to leave her own house from a man she loved.

Fun Fact: Avril preformed, wrote, and produced this whole song herself. No one else had their hand in the making of this very emotional ballad. Knowing that makes listening to this so much harder. Knowing how raw and straight from the heart this is. This song is underrated. The video is underrated. Everything about this deserves more recognition because it highlights how AMAZING AND SELF-MADE Avril is as an artist. She doesn’t need a whole team. She can do it herself.
