This doesn’t have to do with the video, but lately you’ve been posting a lot of videos. I like that

This is so hard. My brothers girlfriend is from Ukraine, 3 family members still in Ukraine. Please pray for my family and Hers aswell, I was literally crying with her and I can’t beilive what it’s like.. most of her family is out of Ukraine, trying to get to the USA, but most are in Germany. 🙏🏾😭 Great video by the way, I love your content since you put the right amount of detail

Thanks for this video Carter. My grandma and her family were from Odessa and she's been so heartbroken that her city is being bombarded, not like Mariupol or Khrakiv, but attacked nonetheless. I have both Russian and Ukrainian background from my grandmother so this war definitely has been something that has really conflicted me. Слава Україні!

Thank you for making a video about my country! This night, on the 26th of June, russia blew up a hospital and a couple of residential buildings exactly 2 km from me. Best wishes from Kharkiv!

As a Ukrainian, thank you for this video. I hope it gives some people insight on why Ukraine is as it is, considering many non-Europeans can't even point us out on a map.

Thank you for this video. It explains very well the reality of Ukraine and what is going on, as well as the history of the region. I would say that I think that when Khrushchev "gifted" Crimea to Ukraine it was more of a pragmatic move than a pure gift, in that agriculture and the population in general were dependent on Ukraine for water, something that is still true today. Apart from that omission the rest seems very a very unbiased and objective view of history. This video wasn't quite what I expected, I did expect you to cover the history, but I thought you might explain the regions, the cities, the economies, the historical influences on each oblast and city in more detail (just like in your US Explained series), maybe you could do this later as a further fundraiser? All in all though a great video and well worth watching for anyone who doesn't know the history of Ukraine and what's going on there now.

It should be known that Russia preemptively supported all the separatist regions in East Europe to keep those states from joining NATO which does not allow new member states to join while they have disputed territory.
