I had to pause to say THANK YOU for your opinion on Style… so so many people are hating because it doesn’t sound exactly the same as the original! But like you said, don’t get trapped in the nostalgia, embrace the new! That is such a perfect way to describe this whole process.. the originals will always be there if you truly love them that much, I honestly don’t think Taylor would care if people keep listening to them… but these new versions are so cool because they take our favorite songs and kind of reimagine them so that they sound new again! The changes to the mixing or production make them sound fresh. I actually love the Style so much more now with the new version.
Most importantly, this is how Taylor wants them to sound, or should wouldn’t release them like this… we have to respect that, even if we don’t agree. And again, the originals are always there if you really want them!

Keep in mind that Max Martin was the main producer on the original album, but he wasn’t able to be a producer on the re-recording! So the production of the album is bound to be different!

Wow I’m so happy with your opinion on Style. I’ve seen so much hate on the new version it’s actually kinda sad. I think it sounds great! Yeah, it does sound different but I don’t think it’s worse at all, we’re just used to the original production so it sounds weird at first.
