Janis sounds so different in this. Barrett sounded straight-up MURDEROUS, ready to get revenge - Auli'i sounds almost....vulnerable. Less like she's warning Cady and more like she's reliving her own experiences.

This kinda doesn't make sense why Damian is singing in this. The only explanation I can think of is that to compensate for removing all Damian songs and Angourie's voice is very weak and can't give this song justice.
Cady voice needs to have some sort of power in it that resembles Regina's because after all, she became queen bee. I understand that she was naive at first and was just influenced by the plastics. But the power and authority was in her the whole time, she just owned it in act 2. That's why I like Erika's interpretation of Cady, her voice sounded vulnerable and naive but you can definitely hear the power in it.

i always thought the reason why there were animal references in the lyrics (2nd verse) was because it's cady's inner monologue when comparing it to the dynamics of animals, like the scene from the original (girl world scene). was kinda caught off guard to hear damien and janis sing those lines tbh. vocals are amazing thoooo
