I kind of missed the boat a bit with Slowdive first time round. I'd recently left University & had immediately dived deep into a career in banking with huge hours & huge stresses. Couple that with a bit of a toxic relationship, actually a seriously toxic relationship tbh, and I think I lost a good few years of my life. By the time I could come up for air I'd realised I'd missed out on some really good cultural milestones which had great soundtracks to accompany them. The music of Slowdive was a big part of this, I really liked them - actually saw them play live at Newcastle Riverside - but just missed out on that time socially & culturally. Now in middle age I'm revisiting their work & it really strikes me how perfect their music was & still is. Such a great band whos music played an important part in the lives of so many of us. Glad they're out there recording again.

In 2014 I listened to this song all the time, I watched Araki films like nowhere and the doom generation I was so into anything that was 90's related, I felt like I was part of it. Like I was 19 in 1993/94. I feel nostalgic like you wouldn't believe.
