Culture is a Jamaican roots reggae group founded in 1976 originally known as the African Disciples. Up until his death in 2006 Joseph Hill remained the groups founding (and original) member. Garnering regular US and international acclaim for its long series of classic “roots” Culture were chosen as 1977 's 'Reggae Album of the Year' (“Two Sevens Clash”) and is acknowledged by Rolling Stone as the 25th best album of all time (as of 2002).
