Mike you bring back so many memories. i sold the hydraulic bent tube assemblies, Hose, fittings and attachment quick connects. My family owned a rubber hose plant and we made hand built rubber hose from 2"Id to 72"ID up to 50 ft long. The concrete hose we made had rubber lined steel nipples with flanged, Victaulic, or beaded ends for chemicals and abrasive materials. When the swage machines grew in Id sizes, hose mfg started making spiraled hose in long lengths and cutting them to the size that was needed. If you look at a hose that looks like it has markings ( like a barbershop sign at 16 second point in video), It is from the tape being wrapped in a spiral method to pull the tube, reinforcement and cover together before going into the autoclave for curing. A funny note most of our Oil suction and discharge hose that was used to unload an ocean tanker or river barge came with a sun resistant cover. All we did was use cotton tape instead of nylon to wrap the cover. It broke up the sun rays hitting the cover. Made us a few extra dollars. Parker Hannifin now owns our hose plant in Salisbury NC. sorry to keep commenting but I thought you might find this interesting.

I just love how you research things, and do the math. That is a remarkable machine. With all the roads you maintain, and the projects Levi or other family may want done in the future, couldn't you keep the skid steer? I guess you could rent one, but you've got a terrific machine in that track loader. You definitely can get your money back w the Avant. Another nice video this morning, as always. Thanks for sharing.๐๐โค๏ธ๐๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ

Thanks for the update on the AVANT! After your last video, I googled it and went to the website. Someone else called it a swiss army knife - true! I'm just a retired hobbyist, and not generating income with machines, so it's a little out of my price range. Still, I could always rent one for a day/week like you're doing. Can't wait to see what else you use it for.
