AOTY for me. I know that's a bold statement, but for me this is everything i wanted from a Clairo record, hell everything I wanted from a record full stop.
The amount of times that beautifuly magic instrumentation completely defied the expectations i had for a song were too many times to count, and i loved it. And of course Claire using her own vulnerability as the forefront of every part of this record really makes you feel like this is a very honest, bold, beautiful, important piece of art. Her music really has really blossomed and her growth as an artist really shows. It takes real talent to draw beauty from really dark themes, such as the ones that this album talks about.
I understand that this record might be too quiet or too slow for some people, and that's okay, but for me that i respond really positively to a more subtle style of music this was fantastic. I cannot stress how much I love this record.
