I am 70 and my wife is 67. 12 children and 57 grandchildren. These romantic songs may have been some cause of that.

Being 78 I’m proud to have lived through the best music in one person’s lifetime.

Scrolled through comments for a bit and looks like many people are in their 60s. I’m 21 and I love these songs. They make me feel nostalgic for the summers I used to spend at my grandparents’ place. I’m not as close with my parents so I really treasure my time I had with my grandparents.

My father. My hero. I'm 61. A father. A grandfather and I'm crying like a little boy with my Daddy holding me. The Leader of my band. Love you Daddy. I miss you so much 💓. I'm sorry to tell you that time doesn't heal all wounds. I'll take my loss to the grave. Love you Papa.😢

I feel like Wyatt Earp does. I'm 73 and can remember relaxing and singing along. The world was definitely a different place. Respect was a key word. God was still in everything. People had love in their hearts. Kids played together ... regardless of color or ethnicity. You didn't have to worry about razor blades or needles in Halloween candy or apples. A nickel candy bar was good size. 😊. And life was good. God help and bless America and the world. HE'S the only one that can save civilization. It's ALL in HIS hands. Thank you FATHER for the good ol' days. May they return for our grandchildren and our posterity.

I’m 52 and I remember the days in summer listening to a lot of these songs in the 80’s learning about different music. Laying in the grass feeling like I was meant for a different time. But it’s about being an American in the land that was once home. It’s an alien feeling now listening to these songs but I close my eyes and I go back to the summer days laying on the grass✌️

These songs never grow old. I'm in my early 70's and listening to these songs makes you feel young again. Memories keep coming back. What a nice feeling.

We had Leader of the Band played at our Dad's funeral in 1995. Changed a few words in the second verse to make it ring true for our family. "Papa, I don't think I said 'I love you' near enough" always hits me in the heart.

In our 60s, sitting out beside the pool wrapped in a blanket watching the fireplace crackle and pop while listening to the music of our youth.
