To help clarify about the tag team tournament that Dusty got them in, Dusty is the one who booked the infamous match on TBS where the Mulkeys beat the Gladiators, and then the next night on TBS it was announced by Tony Schiavone that the Gladiators had been scratched from the Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup and the Mulkeys were taking their place. Not sure what promises were made after that, but that was a very big push!

Promises? It's difficult to imagine what the Mulkey's could have realistically expected as far as their careers in wrestling were concerned. They are remembered to this day for being unique in the spot they were given. I think that they actually overachieved. God bless them.
