I had gastritis twice. Once at 12 from too much spicy food, and sour candy.
At 17 again from drinking coffee on a empty stomach.
First time, I thought I could eat spicy once a week, but no it was bad. It wasn't until 6 months in NO SPICY that I was able to enjoy spicy again- no problem. Even too much citrus- like oranges was bad.
Saving that info, I stopped coffee for a month. Introduced slowly with either a full stomach or an allowance of bread each time. Now, I could go a few times without a bagel or croissant- but I wouldn't want to risk my stomach like that ever again.
I really recommend yogurts, more beans, rich broth, organic warm teas, and avocados. Throughout that whole journey, I realized meat wasn't for me either, and I've now been vegetarian for 7 years. Take care of it now, because stomach ulcers, & leaky gut syndrome would be way worse. I'm lucky I had someone to warn me about the ulcers❤
