I think what's left of the clone troopers in 5 BBY is going to consist mainly of the kid clones that were hauled off of Kamino before the Empire blew up Tipoca City. Even a member of the 501st legion was already a homeless veteran by the time of 9 BBY

When Rogue One came out I was hoping we'd see more stuff exactly like Andor. These kinds of details and on the ground focus has always been my favorite aspect of the universe. I never expected them to nail it like this.

I hope that they give Temuera Morrison the chance to show that he can flesh out the Clones like Baker can. He's played roles other than Jango and Boba, so I'm sure he has more range than people give him credit for.

Your take on stormtroopers reminds me a lot of how wars are fought today, where the bulk of the infantry force doesn't do that much fighting, and the majority of combat is left to either elite special forces, or irregular forces. It's the kind of fighting you do when you're looking to occupy places with much lesser military capability than you have, so it makes a lot of sense for the empire to function this way, especially when we know the US parallels are intentional.

If Iām correct, Vader still used the 501st for the majority of his legion and continued to till the destruction of the first Death Star because majority of them were on board, so it isnāt too crazy for clones to still be in the army itās is weird theyāre still in clone armor

If you rewatch the trailers, you can clearly see storm troopers behind the ISB riot troopers, so the clones have to be in a flash back. Not to mention the first shot with the clones shows Andor's adopted father is alive.

Clones actually were very skilled. Engineering, advanced mathematics, basic medical training, combat, logistical organization, etc are all things taught to every clone.

The clones are definitely from a flashback, we see imperial troopers (same armour as mud troopers) trying to hold back a riot on ferrix in the trailer, and the clones will probably mark the beginning of the imperial presence on ferrix and clemās death

Seeing what Iāve seen so far, I have every confidence that Gilroy is going to give us the satisfying payoff(s) that all of the character and story development is pointing to.
Whatās truly great about Andor is that, even after next weekās arc conclusion, we still have SIX more episodes to go!! If youāve been looking at the runtimes on Disney+, these episodes/chapters are of a comparable length to OWK, BBF, and Mando, if not slightly longer on average. Iām so glad that Disney/Lucasfilm finally opened their purse strings and allowed a series the room it needed to spread out and breathe.
Obi-Wan Kenobi and particularly Book of Boba Fett could have benefited significantly by having the luxury of even 3 more episodes to tell their stories.
And then thereās the writingā¦ ā¤

It kinda makes sense that you would put soldiers that are going to be retired anyways on a backwater planet as a garrisons force, in a time where the military structure is changing.

I think the clone trooper scenes are going to be a flash back. The trailer is edited to make it look like Cassian is on Ferrix looking at them, but Iām pretty sure the dude in the foreground in the clip of the clones marching is Clem. Also, in the clip of the ISB troopers with the riot shields you can see stormtroopers in the background. The last clue is the clip of the clones turning their blasters seemingly forming a firing squad. In this clip the civilians of Ferrix are dressed very differently than they are in 5 BBY. During the first couple episodes almost all Ferrix civilians wear yellow while in the clone clip there is no yellow to be seen. Iām guessing they are going to use these flashbacks to show how Clem dies (my guess is the scene of the man approaching the clones in the rain) and to contrast the initial subjugation of Ferrix at the dawn of the new order vs how the police state has evolved during the current events in 5 BBY. The citizens of Ferrix have clearly been through this before.
