This is truly a wonderful clip... I never knew about this "Dick Clark Beech-Nut Show" - I always thought Dick Clark's show was just "American Bandstand", ya learn something new every day! Thank you for posting and sharing this rare footage! Rest In Peace, Annette - you will be missed.

Annette was who I wanted to be. She was so pretty. I made my mother buy me a poodle skirt. I had dark hair back then.

I had a good friend who was a tall Paul, it was fun hanging with him when this record came out.

On this day in 1959 {March 27th} Annette performed "Tall Paul" on the Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'... Two months earlier on January 5th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #7 and spent 15 weeks on the Top 100... Between 1959 and 1961 she had ten Top 100 records; with this one being her highest charted hit, she had one other Top 10 success {"O Dio Mio" reached #10 in 1960}... R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012} and may God bless Ms. Funicello...

Great! Please post the video of her singing "Tall Paul" where she has a very tall guy in a school letter jacket that stands more than a foot taller than her. It's from one of the Dick Clark programs.

Notice Dick's white buckskins! Did anyone see the actual 'video' (that's just wrong to say that!) that Annette had with her alongside a picket fence with Paul written in chalk on it?
