Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers - Manic Depression | Audiotree Far Out

Laura Jane Grace is an activist, author and musician best known as frontwoman of the iconic Florida punk band Against Me!. Grace set that project aside in 2016 to focus on a solo endeavor dubbed Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers. The Bloodshot Records signee has a more intimate, singer-songwriter feel yet maintains LJG's signature howl and kinetic punk energy. Watch Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers' live performance at Lizard's Liquid Lounge.

Far Out is an Audiotree series where we step outside our studio to record artists in unusual environments.

Laura Jane Grace, two chords, stream-of-consciousness half-sung lyrics, a dirty-ass solo and Atom Willard on the drums? Hell yeah.

Please we need another Devouring Mother album. So rare to find an album that is a banger from beginning to end.

I always feel like Laura Jane is singing the things I feel, just the way I feel them. So glad to have her and her art.

My favorite song off this record. LJG is hands down my favorite artist since Cornell’s passing. Love it

As a musician who came out as trans almost a year ago, Laura Jane Grace has been one of my biggest heroes. Manic Depression has always been one of my favorite songs of hers, its such a technically simple song yet the rawness of the lyrics and the emotion in her singing makes it such a hard hitting song. Keep being yourselves everyone :3

When I first saw the title, I thought they covered Jimi Hendrix. Was a little disappointed when it started and that wasn't the case, but I wasn't disappointed for long!
