Rick is a musician of unparalleled genius and touch. His interpretations and technical prowess are priceless. Indeed, his canon of work over the decades has provided great joy and influenced millions of listeners and musicians. Who then is better to memorialize the great Keith Emerson, a man who on more than one occasion expressed mutual great admiration of Rick? Too, Mr. Wakeman is not only an a musician nonpareil, he is quite the comedian to boot ( See his Hall of Fame speech!) His love and respect for Keith are obvious. Thanks, Rick!

I had the good fortune to a) be born in 1956 b) have musical parents that taught me to appreciate ALL great music in all genres, and c) to have lived in a major city (Vancouver, BC) to see top concerts. My first concert was at 8, which was the Beatles. I saw Yes 4 or 5 times, and ELP 3 times, so to be able to sit and watch these musical giants perform their masterpieces was an honour that my poor kids never got to experience. I can't express enough what a great vehicle YouTube is for sharing these musical moments with the current and future generations. There's nothing like a live performance, but where would we be without these gems of video? Thanks for posting. Keep on rocking, world!

I saw Emerson, Lake and Palmer Live in 1977 at Cornell’s Barton Hall. We were just young college students then and although we already knew about their incredible music we didn’t seem to quite know what to expect. It was surreal. The first half blew us away. We were shell shocked. During the intermission the announcer told us the 2nd half would be even better and astonishingly, he was right. Keith was bending notes into oblivion on the moog, Carl was buzz-sawing his synthesized percussion and Greg’s voice just cut right through you. You never forget something like that. So glad I got to see them.

Wakeman did not try to upstage Emerson, just played a beautiful tribute. Such class.
