Honestly? This is such a great thing to have, there's been so much shit in the world you get overwhelmed and exhausted. It almost gets to the point where it feels like there's too much to tackles and not enough people or time to do anything. BUT THEN you have things like this, where you have people showing you hey it IS a lot and it can be overwhelming but we're pushing forward and working on it, there's hope and there's people who care. It's gonna work, we're gonna change it for the better.

“Whatever you do, don’t pick a side! Because then you import your conflict into my country. Wherever you see injustice stand for it! The most important thing you can do is listen to my story! When you listen to my story, you bring dignity to my humanity” That’s the best thing I ever heard! No one is right, no one is wrong. We’re all humans, let’s stand together.

Marcus is one the pure ones in the music scene these days, and it comes through his music. Mumford is pure passion, total heartache, total joy. I've always loved his stuff.

This is giving me a flashback to when I saw these two on stage together at Bonnaroo 2015... One of the best moments I've had at a concert

Thank you for this thoughtful and heartfelt 30 minutes. Many have been inspired by Mumford and Sons to support both the War Child and Global Citizen charities.

When we, as a whole, are going through so much conflict, tragedy, grief, hate and racism, is always important to remember that we all share commonality with those half way across the world and with our neighbors. These podcasts are such an important tool to have to bring awareness to the Global Citizen organization, all the advocacy groups & movements that are taking place at this very moment! It’s a terrifying thought to not know what our future looks like or what our children’s lives will look like in the next 5-10 years because of all the dividing hate and violence that’s is erupting all around the world. Though these stories can be heart wrenching at times, I find inspiration within myself to make a difference. I know I say this with each podcast and I hope you know, I wholeheartedly mean it but thank you Andrew, Global Citizen and all who have been involved with bringing change and light into areas that have seen such darkness and despair! I’m looking forward to the next episode!! 🖤💫🖤💫

It’s been a bit since I’ve listened to this, and I’m so glad I decided to re-listen tonight. I work with survivors of trafficking, SA, and DV and also teach social service providers and nonprofits about how to work with survivors. something that I always try to bring into my teachings is that survivors should be able to have their voices amplified and that they shouldn’t be spoken for but with. Survivors know their own stories and needs best. Hearing two of my favorite musicians talking about listening to and amplifying stories makes me so happy. These guys get it ❤️
